Student Car Insurance
Reader’s Question:
My daughter had been asking me for so long to buy her a car and last week I finally did buy her a car but I wouldn’t want her to drive it yet for I haven’t gotten her car insurance yet. The problem is, how can I shop for car insurance for her here in Kentucky?

It seems you are really in your right mind that you wouldn’t let your daughter drive her car without student car insurance since most people think that the driver’s license is enough to be on the road. It is not hard for you to look or shop for your daughter’s car insurance for it is just like the regular shopping you do which is to look for different car insurance companies and then compare and choose which one best fits you.
Once you have chosen student car insurance for your daughter, you have to ask your daughter to have or to maintain good grades in school to avail discounts and make you happier. You also have to bring her grades as a proof when applying for a policy. You can also get another discount if you have multiple policies especially in Florida. Some car insurance companies give family discounts if family members are also insured in that company. Another thing in Florida is when you drive less, the car insurance company can offer you discount for low mileage use, you can ask your daughter to just walk or use a bike if she is going somewhere near your house. If your daughter has a good driving record, she can make her insurance cost lower. And you can always install an anti-theft device to your daughter’s car in order to get a lower cost for her insurance.
